Course Overview

This course is intended to equip you with introductory computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office® tools. The course consists of four units. The first three units: Windows Basics, Internet Basics and Microsoft Office are to be completed in a facilitated classroom/workshop setting. The final unit is intended to be completed on your own computer and submitted online. Some technical terms are linked to a course glossary. These words will appear in light blue text.

Learning Outcomes

At the completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand and navigate the basic user interface of a personal computer using a Windows® operating system.
  • Produce effective electronic documents, spreadsheets and presentations usine MS Office® tools.
  • Demonstrate the ability to locate pages on the Web and share documents via a Cloud service.
